These items will be helpful to students in many ways, but the most important is to give them a release of energy to help them tune in and refocus. Flexible seating allows students the ability of choice in what they need, personally, in order to accomplish a task. By providing additional seating options, students have different ways that they can move to release excess energy to keep them focused or help them to refocus on their learning. SEL is very important, especially now during a pandemic. Additional resources that students can use to help them calm their anxious thoughts, regulate their breathing and focus, and provide them with a way to diffuse their stress through different options would be go a long way for students today.
