My Project

This is a project that will allow some variety to student seating in my classroom. I think that students will learn better when there are more diverse options of seating from bouncing yoga balls to regular chairs, which are already in my classroom.

My students are always learning new things from Chinese to difficult new math concepts.

Because of the rigor expected in the classroom, I feel the need to make them as comfortable as possible. We have many outdoorsy families in the area and having camping chairs will be super helpful for my students to be engaged in learning, because they are connecting it back to their family interests and hobbies. It’s just another addition to their options for seating. There has also been a lot of different studies and research performed on the efficacy of flexible seating and I’m hoping to continue proving those studies right. I want to support implementation of varying seating options in a classroom. I also need storage bins because they won’t have the typical desk to store their items. Having these storage bins will be helpful for keeping their work organized.
