My Students

My students have various communication needs, including expressive and receptive language goals. This project would benefit all of my speech students. I am a speech-language pathologist and I service grades pre-k through fifth grade in an elementary school located in Brooklyn.

My students are motivated and happy to attend speech to improve their language skills.

The students enjoy participating in writing, reading, and articulation activities. All of my students have bright and positive personalities which deserve to be properly supported every session in a welcoming and comfortable environment. My students are creative and thoughtful. They beam with joy whenever they enter the room.

My Project

This is the final part of my goal to bring flexible seating to my students and some fun language tools to focus on our speech goals, while making it fun. This project is to create flexible, bright seating options for my elementary school speech students. I am asking for help creating a bright and fun looking space to learn and reach our school goals in the new school year! I want my classroom to be warm, welcoming, and a bright space for learning. I am also looking for more language tools to make it fun to work on our speech goals!

The new seating options will make my students feel more comfortable in our speech room.

We have many different learning outcomes this year. The various, colorful seating options will create a welcoming space for my students, especially during a school year with so many unknowns. The language materials will also create an enjoyable environment to focus on our goals in speech!
