Flexible Seating Alternatives

Help me give my students a more comfortable experience in my classroom by providing better flexible seating choices for them. The 4 chairs will allow me to remove 1 table from my already crowded room.

My Students

I have the best students in Riverside County! I teach twelfth grade government and economics in Corona California. My students perform in a range towards the middle to sometimes the lower end academically. These kids have typically had no special treatment. They are not A.P. students and they are not EL or AVID students.

In my room, I have some of the same desks that we had when the school opened twenty-four years ago.

We are using the same books that we adopted fifteen years ago. In this age of technology, we do not have computers to use unless we relocate to an already over impacted lab.

But my students never complain. I introduce a lesson using technology and sometimes the WiFi works and sometimes it does not. We always have fun!

My Project

I teach seniors and my largest class is 40 students. My room is not very large and not very accommodating to older students. With this new furniture I will be able to offer an additional area of my room that is comfortable to these students.

Better flexible seating alternatives for my older students will allow them to be more comfortable in class.

The 4 chairs that I requested will give my students an additional alternative to the tables and chairs I currently have in my room. Students like to sit close to the ground and be comfortable while they learn.
