This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. I work in a low-income school, where students are faced with many additional challenges in their lives. They deserve the best education possible, and I strive to do just that for them.

Students in my class are extremely active, high-energy, bubbly kiddos.

They love to be active learners and show what they know in new, creative ways. I want to do everything in my power to help my 4th graders learn and become better people. The deserve it!

My Project

For the past three years, our 4th grade students have loved being able to learn in classrooms that use flexible seating. However, the materials for this do not last forever when 30+ high-energy kiddos are using them daily! Looking forward into next year, we are going to need additional supplies to replenish our flexible seating in our classrooms.

I work in a school with very active students who learn best while moving.

Flexible seating has been a great tool in aiding students to move while they learn, thus being more successful in the school year. I am very excited to introduce flexible seating to a new group of 4th graders next school year!
