This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These flexible seating bean bag chairs motivate students to want to independently read. The bean bags allow students to get out of their regular desk chairs that they sit in all day. Students ask to sit in our current bean bag chairs almost daily and we are in need of 3 more for our classroom to support them in reading. The kids love sitting on the carpet to read but they think the carpet is a little too hard and uncomfortable sitting.

They actually find it more fun to read on the bean bag chairs then at their seat.
