My classroom is located in the Denver Area of Colorado. We have a half day program that services 75-100 kindergarteners every year. I teach two full sections each day. We have a mix of students who are fluent in English as well as those who are just beginning to learn the language.
My students are full of energy and are excited to learn!
My greatest joy in teaching them is when I see them realize that they can do something that they couldn't do the day before. They are the light in our school! I can't wait to make their day a little brighter.
My Project
I am looking to add flexible seating options to my kindergarten classroom this year. When students have a variety of seating options to choose from, they are more likely to stay on task and focus on their learning. Just as all students are different, their learning needs are different too.
By adding Anti-Burst Exercise Balls to our classroom, my kindergarteners will have more opportunities to choose seating that will work best with their individual learning styles.
By implementing more flexible seating into my classroom, I hope to increase student achievement as well as student engagement. We are excited to take this leap into a new way of learning!
