My students need bath mats and a large rug in order to read and write comfortably on the floor, and portable carts to organize the supplies they need to work independently.

My Students
My Kindergarteners are my favorite people to spend time with. Our classroom is filled with a diverse group of little learners, culturally, academically, and of course a wide variety of wonderful personalities! I teach in a public school and have 22-24 students in my classroom throughout the school year.
Curious, energetic, and active; my students are eager to learn, move, and create.
They keep me laughing every day and inspire me to be the best teacher I can be. My students thrive in a learning environment that is structured, yet flexible, where they are able to have voice in their learning. If you were to walk into my classroom on any given day, you would see students standing, sitting on yoga balls, stretched out on the floor, or even laying under a table. It may seem a little chaotic, but it's absolutely perfect for our learning.
We strive to create a classroom community where kindness takes first priority, dance parties are a regular activity, and learning through play is second nature. I am so fortunate to work with such an enthusiastic group of learners.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take ownership of their learning by giving them a choice of how and where they sit (or stand) throughout the day. My students absolutely love selecting where they can work independently and collaboratively in our classroom.
Many Kindergarteners are more comfortable to work on the floor, either sitting or laying on their stomachs.
We need the rug and bath mats to give students some cozy spots to read, write, and work independently.
Because my students have choice in their work, we also have many materials that need to stay organized and available to them at all times. The rolling carts will be perfect to help students find materials they need quickly and easily.
