Flexible Desks for a Flexible Classroom

My students need to continue their use and experimentation with flexible seating. We would like to procure lap desks so students can work in different areas around the classroom and use our existing flexible seating.

My Students

Our students are driven, worldly, lifelong learners. Their unique learning styles and zest for life make them incredible students. Our diverse learners are the future, and we strive to provide them with a world class 21st century education that will make them stand out among the best! As an arts integration school, we provide our students with a global education that teaches the whole child. Our emphasis on wellness also takes into account the basic needs of our unique learners.

My Project

Our class has had so much fun experimenting with flexible seating this school year. We started with wobble chairs, bean bags, and yoga balls and expanded our exploration into standing and adjustable desks. Our students have been more motivated to come into the classroom and learn, and love having the options of being comfortable while learning.

The addition of lap desks that can be used in conjunction with our existing flexible seating will continue to motivate students and allow them to be comfortable while learning.

With the portable lap desks, students can move to many areas within the classroom to learn in a space that is successful for them. Used in conjunction with our existing flexible seating, the lap desks will provide the ultimate flexible learning environment.
