Flexibility and Mobility

My Students

My students are struggling learners identified with learning disabilities, ADHD, ADD, and emotional behavioral disabilities. They are working towards a high school diploma in a high school in the upstate of SC. My students strive to learn and keep up with their same-aged peers. I am very protective of my students knowing their disabilities and how they struggle.

In our Resource classroom, where I create a safe and welcoming atmosphere we work on learning how to learn as well as the main ideas and core concepts of their math and English classes.

I often have students who have limited reading experiences because reading is so hard for them. However, reading is essential to learning in all their classes.

My Project

The classrooms today are virtual and face-to-face. When I teach I need flexibility and I need to be mobile. Having an iPad Pro will allow me to bring engaging lessons virtually as it pairs with many different platforms. The Apple Pencil allows me to teach from anywhere in my classroom. My back will not be to my students, I can teach among them and supervise their learning as I walk around the classroom. The iPad will allow the students to participate and showcase their knowledge as I bring them the iPad to work on. The iPad Pro also allows me a portable classroom for my virtual students.
