This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'm going into my third year as our campus Kinder Dual Language teacher. I teach a bilingual kindergarten class in Texas. My students come from all different income levels and in past years have demonstrated a strong dedication to learning.

I'm so excited to greet 22 energetic, creative, and curious five-year-olds in just a matter of days.

I'm so fortunate to be a part such an involved community where I've already had the privilege of meeting my future babies.

My Project

I want to empower my students by giving them the freedom to choose where they think they will do their best work. I'm so thankful to have already been able to implement wobble chairs and cushions as options for flexible seating. But not all seating works the same for all students.

My babies will love the different seating choices to engage and enhance their learning experience as they work.

I myself find it hard to sit all day and therefore cannot expect my kinder babies to do the same the whole school year. New seating such as bouncy bands, wobble cushions, and lap desks will be a great way to accommodate all learning styles and help my kids be successful.
