This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Everyone has a not-so-great memory of having to sit in an uncomfortable chair for most of the day while they were expected to sit still and focus.

This project would help my students have choices in where and how they sit to best focus attention.

Sitting for long periods of time is not ideal for anyone but especially not children. If my classroom were to receive the bounce chairs, wobble chairs and wobble cushions from this flex-seating project, my students would benefit from an ability to feel more in control of how they learn best in an environment that fosters focus and learning through an ability to move our bodies in the least disruptive but most effective way.
