This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Flashlight Friday creates memorable and enjoyable time for my students to read independently. They enjoy just having our plug-in lights on and turning the overhead lights off as a treat so being able to have flashlights would be extra special!

Students can spread out around the room with flashlights, cushions and their favorite books to build reading stamina.

The books are favorites in my room so having more copies would help more students be able to read their favorite books. My goal is to create reader through special memories!
