This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my babies! (they get a kick out of that!) I teach a 3rd grade inclusion room, meaning currently 8 of my children have IEPS and require additional academic support.

While things may take a little longer, watching them finally grasp a topic makes it all worth it.

I know that every child in my room can and will show growth and I am excited to work with you to give my students opportunities to become successful students and citizens.

My Project

With being out of school for over a year because of the pandemic, I am finding that my students need extra math practice to "catch up" from the missed classroom time. My students enjoy making learning into a game and getting competitive in a friendly way. They like to work in partners to help improve their skills and show their friends and challenge one another. I want learning to be fun and collaborative and not just a worksheet. These flashcards would provide the opportunity to give my students extra practice while making learning a fun and interactive activity.
