My students need 40 flash drives to save their work. Most students can buy their own flash drive. However, for those who can't, I have a set of loaners.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in the 7th and 8th grade (13 to 14 years old), both male and female, with varying skills and aspirations. I have a total of 177 students, most of whom come from bilingual households and receive free breakfast and lunch.
To make learning personalized, students save their work on their own flash drives.
The majority of them are able to afford one, but many are not. There are those who misplace their flash drive, but can’t afford a replacement. I want my students to be able to produce high-quality computer work. My favorite quote is “I touch the future, I teach,” by Christa McAuliffe. The quote relates to any project I do in my class because as my students move on in their academic path and beyond, they’ll have the tools to better use computers.
Our school serves students in grades 6-8 and provides rigorous academics, highly-qualified teachers and a safe learning environment. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in high school and college.
My Project
We do one project per week. The project at hand consists of students making their own electronic presentations (the topics vary by student choice). Students save their research, pictures, notes, and other media on the flash drive and use it on a daily basis.
Sometimes students can’t afford to buy a flash drive.
Students who can't save their work daily lose continuity in their learning. It is only fair to be able to provide equity when the teacher can loan them one.
They will be able to apply what they learn in my computer class to all their other academic requirements, bother inside and outside the classroom.
