Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

For the past year my students have asked for a school sports team. I asked them what sport would they like to play and my students screamed soccer and flag football. We need to start our flag football team. With the football flags and down markers, my students will be able to join in a team sport. The students will use this equipment to get healthy and to stay healthy through being active in sports. The students will also learn about living healthy life styles. Every child will have an equal opportunity to take part in a team sport and to learn about sportsmanship.

My students gave me a list of equipment that they needed to play flag football.

My students believe the items that we requested would help start our team off on the right foot. They laughed at the pun.

So many of our families cannot afford to pay to put their children in team sports so we are hoping to offer team sports at our school where it is free to all. Providing us with this equipment will help these students feel prepared.
