Fitness Equipment for Our Military Families

My Students

My students love coming to Physical Education. They want to be fit and know what it takes. They enjoy games and activities that build their skill levels as well as their fitness levels. The majority of the students I teach come from low-income families (we are a Title I school) as well as military families. Our southern-most boundary is an Air-Force Base. Our military families are an essential part of our school and community. The military parents and their co-workers volunteer and give back to our school even though they know they may move to a new base shortly.

Getting equipment to improve my students' fitness levels is my priority.

I want to make a difference in the lives of my students. I want them to remember their elementary Physical Education class as being fun and where they learned the basics of fitness and overall good health.

My Project

My students take a physical fitness test at the beginning and end of the school year. They work hard, or should I say play hard, all year to make improvements on their fitness levels. The multicolored cones will help organize many stations and games related to fitness throughout the school year.

The push up mats will ensure the students are performing their push ups with correct form.

The push up mats and cones will be the beginning of a lifelong love of fitness and good health for all of my students! This equipment will impact every student in my school, and they will be so appreciative!
