Many of my students experienced an absence of normalcy during Hurricane Irma. School is one of their constants and we had to close for approximately 11 days. Many of the families in our community evacuated because we are located between two bodies of water and in a flood zone. Now that the students are back in school, I would like to offer them something new in Physical Education class. They have never had the experience of walking on a balance beam at school nor have they been able to see their heart rate with a heart rate monitor before and after exercise. This will benefit all of my students Pre-K through 5th grade.
