My Students

"Wow, I never thought about it that way..." I am sure I repeat this sentence daily in my classroom. I am privileged and honored to be teaching 51 intense thinkers! They never cease to amaze me with their strategies and ideas to solve a variety of real-world problems. We explore concepts in 4th-grade math and science.

We have a goal to explore and appreciate the diversity in our classroom by learning about each other!

Our school has a diverse population and we have explored different ways that people from diverse cultures communicate, how they learn, what they celebrate and value, and the historical moments for a specific country.

My Project

Our class has set a goal to explore and master sports played around the world together during recess! Having a variety of sports equipment are the best resources to meet this goal. We are planning to use soccer balls, volleyballs, badminton sets, and jump ropes to help us learn about enjoy playing these sports.

We are working on widening our horizons and welcoming different cultures into our classroom.

Students will be learning to use the sports equipment during recess and having fun with their peers at the same time! Sports takes up a big part of many cultures! This project will also emphasize the importance of team work in many sports in order to be a successful player.
