My Students

Our reading essentials students struggle because they are 2 or more grade levels below grade level reading proficiency . Our job is to provide them with the skills they need to be successful readers and writers. Our students are curious, want to succeed and love to learn.

Struggling readers already walk a 'walk of shame', we want to build their confidence and support their reading needs.

Fortunately our class sizes are smaller allowing more direct instruction.

My Project

Having a classroom laminator will allow us to create reusable visual sound cards, alphabet letters, and Tier II vocabulary word cards to enrich and reinforce our student learning. Having a classroom laminating machine will allow us to create reusable go-to classroom materials on a daily basis and allow for publishing of students' work.

Laminated materials will enrich vocabulary, create a fun learning environment, and allow for published work.

Having middle schoolers up and actively "fishing" and describing laminated words builds vocabulary. Publishing student's poetry and writing pieces are rewarding and will provide completion. Help us by supporting our active learning.
