Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a class of very eager students who are ready to learn. They are very energetic and enjoy engaging math and literacy centers.
Our school is a Title One School.
Through hard work, it is no longer an Improvement Required campus. It is essential that this upward trend continue for our students.
I love our school and all of our students deserve the opportunity to receive a quality education. I have 18 students in my classroom. My first grade students are eager and have a desire to learn as they enter my classroom. My students know that I am going to do whatever it takes to make them successful. They are unaware of the challenges our school has faced and are determined to learn.
My Project
These materials will reinforce targeted skills for both math and reading.
I chose the Phonemic Awareness Learning Center along with the Pop and Match Phonics Game so the students can work in small groups with each other.
During this time, they can enjoy the games while learning.
The Number Line Activity Center will allow students to have hands on material to better understand the concepts of numbers and place value. The Roll and Solve Addition game will help develop math fluency that is such a critical skill.
All of these centers will provide a fun way to learn as well as help foster the sense of community within our classroom.
