My Project

This is my first semester teaching. I have always been very eager to create a safe and welcoming environment for my students. Students deserve to have a space they feel comfortable in while being able to learn to the best of their abilities. Creating flexible seating, providing snacks, and having classroom posters that support my content would all be extremely powerful components of creating a welcoming and safe environment.

I have recently graduated from college and do not have much for my classroom.

This grant will provide me the opportunity to support my students in ways that they may not receive outside of school. Providing snacks, comfortable bean bag seating and a space to look forward to learning are all very important components of creating a safe, welcoming environment. A majority of my students do not have stable lives or consistency outside of school. This grant provides the opportunity to create more consistency and routine for students and feel safe in the classroom. This donation would mean a lot to both myself and my students.
