*First Year Teacher* Wants to Foster a LOVE of Learning!
Help me give my students a more interactive learning experience with individual whiteboards and clipboards, as well as a shared easel; a fun rug will enhance our morning meetings and build a stronger classroom community.
I have a great group of students this year! We are a diverse group, with many different cultures and backgrounds represented. These students have not had a "normal" school year since Kindergarten, with all of the changes in their First and Second-grade years.
The students are excited to be back in school and are setting back into the routines.
We have reviewed our school and classroom expectations while creating a strong community. We call ourselves the "Cookie Squad" when we need to team up and work together.

My Project
Individual whiteboards and clipboards allow us to take our learning around the room. Having portable surfaces helps us incorporate movement into our lessons.
A shared easel allows the students to become the teacher!
They can come up front to share their work with their classmates, and feel empowered in their "teaching." They LOVE this!
A classroom rug will provide a special space for our morning meetings and classroom discussions.
Math books add a lot of fun to our lessons. Our library can always use more diverse books that resonate with each of us!
