First Year Teacher: Inviting Reading Nook

My Students

I am a first-year teacher, and I am teaching 4th grade at a Title I school in Virginia! I am currently teaching two classes of students. Each group consisting of a diverse group of 25 students. I am teaching my students virtually for our first 9 weeks. Although that is not what I had envisioned, I love being able to interact and teach my students virtually!

I cannot wait to be in person with my students, hopefully sometime soon!

My Project

I would absolutely love to create a reading nook for my students to enjoy during their independent reading time! Reading is SO important and this reading nook would be the perfect incentive to get my students to enjoy reading!

Would you please help me make reading fun for my students!

I am a first-year teacher, and I have a completely blank slate when it comes to my classroom. A reading nook would be a wonderful addition to my classroom setup. My students will thoroughly enjoy taking turns in the reading nook when we return our classroom!
