This will be my very first year of teaching, and I am so thrilled that this is the career path that I have chosen to spend the rest of my life doing! I will be teaching pre-K and I am so excited to spend my days teaching 20+ rambunctious 4 year-olds. At this age, they are full of innocence and potential and I am so glad that I get to be their first taste of school.
With it being my first year teaching and their first year of school, I know there will be a lot of triumphs and lessons to come but I am so excited for what this career has in store for me and to meet all of the students placed in my classroom for years to come.
With first year teaching, there is a lot of classroom furnishing to be done. I truly believe that materials play a huge role in the students' learning because the more items to be had, the more diverse the lessons and activities can be in order to meet every child's needs.
My Project
Playing is as a huge role in the learning outcome for students in early childhood classrooms. As a first year teacher, I do not have a lot of items for different centers. My students will benefit from variety in the math, reading, dramatic play, circle time, teacher table center, and sensory table with the items I have asked for.
The materials I have asked for will give my students the opportunity to learn and play.
Creating an environment that is safe and feels like home for the students is my top priority. Help make my first year and their first year, the best year!
