Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Next year will be my first year in my own classroom and I want to be able to create the best classroom I can for my incoming fourth grade class. The children in my school are mostly from low-income households and many see and hear things and deal with hardships that no kid should have to deal with.
My students are funny, caring, and need to be shown that they are cared for.
I want to make sure that they can feel comfortable and calm in a nicely decorated classroom.

These materials will help me get a head start on making my classroom feel like a comfortable, calming space where my students will enjoy coming to every day.
I really want to create a classroom that makes my students feel welcome.
I will be creating separate areas that will allow for personal space, choices, and different learning groups throughout the day. Since I am starting in my first classroom by myself, there are many things I will be buying and putting in my classroom to help make it feel home-like and happy. These items will help me greatly starting out.
