Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a FIRST Robotics Competition Team out of Hemet, California. We have students ranging from 8th through 12th grade who are dedicated to the values of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).
FIRST programs help our students in their pursuit of education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.
This program also helps students develop business and social skills that will be invaluable when they go out into the world.
My Project
This is our team’s first project, so we would love to blast off with a new computer. Our students only have access to Chromebooks which are not always compatible with the programs we need to design in CAD and process our coding.
This computer will help our design team create 3D parts for printing and allow our programming team to write code in JAVA and Python.
This computer will enable our students to complete these tasks both at school and at home, if needed, to stay on top of our demanding schedule during build season. This computer will give us the tools necessary to reach our goal!
