Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I believe every child deserves the opportunity for an excellent education, and I am proud to partner with my school, other educators, families, and community leaders to strive toward this goal. I teach in a high-poverty school zone where 100% of our students receive complimentary breakfast and lunch. These fantastic students need additional support because most of them come from low-income with little to no support or resources. Despite some of the challenges they face in and around their environment, my students come to school excited, full of life, and eager to learn every year.

My Project

Healthy snacks will increase learning abilities in the classroom throughout the day. The snacks can boost their energy level for learning. Snacks enable the students to become more engaged in classroom activities. The snacks can help students to grow and develop more skills in the classroom. The snacks can help promote more minor behavior problems.

By providing the students with healthy snacks, we can increase higher academic performance in the classroom.

The snacks can help keep the students alert. A healthy snack can help encourage concentration and re-energize tired students. Little kids burn energy fast. These snacks will keep them moving.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
