Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help our students engage in interesting writing projects. They need fun and engaging ways to develop their reading and writing skills so that they will be encouraged to grow and learn.

My students are very energetic.

They come from a variety of backgrounds, and they are very loving. A large percentage of our students come from a life of poverty and homelessness. Although they are faced with many challenges the students in our school are very eager to learn. Our students are also very welcoming and helpful to the new students that join our classrooms throughout the school year.

My Project

These reading, writing, and math centers and activities will greatly improve my students ability to learn independently. They will also help provide my students will a deeper understanding of the content they are studying in class. My students love to read and write, but they have been reading the same materials each day. They need new and exciting reading materials that are at their level so they will be able to take deep meaning and understanding from what they are reading.

Please help these students develop the critical reading and writing skills they need to be successful in the world.

So many of these students will fall behind if they are not given the best chances for success at an early age. I want them to fall in love with reading and writing now so that these can become skills they desire to develop and use their whole lives.
