My Project

The saying is true: It takes a village to raise a child. It can also be said that it takes a million supplies to keep a first grade class up and running. Please help me purchase some much needed supplies for our first grade classroom.

Many of the items will help my students be actively engaged with their learning through various modalities with thematic units.

The write and wipe table will be a wonderful addition for a reading nook for students to cozy up with a good book and share their thoughts on our weekly read aloud right on the table. We will also be able to add some needed books onto our shelves. This project will also allow for students to each take a book home with them - they LOVE Piggie and Gerald books!

Additionally, this project will allow me to replenish the much needed supplies to keep the classroom going but will also maximize and utilize all the space I do have to allow all students to grow. In the classroom, we do thematic units that span across the subjects allowing students to gain a deeper knowledge. These supplies will help support us complete art, STEM, and mathematical projects that follow our literacy focus.
