My Project

First grade is a magical year! Students make the most growth in their reading skills typically in a first grade year. While other grades may see 2 or 3 levels of growth in a school year, first grade teachers see 6 or 7 levels of reading growth in a single school year! It is so exciting to watch!

Please help give my students a variety of new books at different reading levels to help me meet the needs of all of my students!

During small guided reading groups, I am able to read with 3 or 4 students at a time. Each student in the group is reading at the same level as each other. These books sets will help me meet their individual needs and help them grow as readers!
