My Project

Thank you so much for considering a donation to our classroom project.

I am a first grade teacher of students who LOVE reading and who are developing their sense of self as readers as their knowledge of vocabulary and words increases. The Piggie and Elephant books that we are requesting in our project are written at a great independent level for my students to read on their own which is amazing in and of itself, but they are also so hilarious that my students just cannot get enough of these books. They check them out of the library like wild fire and we would love a few copies for our classroom so we always have access to them. All of my students are second language learners and English is their second language so seeing their confidence rise as they are able to read a book that they love and read it all on their own is the goal and joy of my job as an educator. Thank you for your support in bringing books to my classroom that we can enjoy year after year!
