Even more importantly, these experiences allow students to develop essential social-emotional learning skills such as teamwork, perseverance, communication, and confidence.\r\n\r\nThrough collaborative challenges and real-world investigations, students are learning how to think like scientists and engineers while also learning how to support one another, manage frustration, and celebrate success together. These books expose them to rich vocabulary, deepen their understanding, and challenge them to stretch their thinking. This is especially important because my students need frequent opportunities to engage with high-interest, high-quality texts.\r\n\r\nAt the beginning of the year, when I first introduced the books, only two students showed excitement about reading them. As the months have passed, more and more students have begun picking them up—especially the National Geographic readers. Now, 22 of my 24 students are choosing to read every day.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students have developed a genuine excitement for reading. I always feel so blessed and grateful when amazing donors like yourself give to classrooms like mine. \r\n\r\nWhen tools and manipulatives are organized, we are productive! In this project, I requested items to help me make my classroom more organized and easy to use for six-year-olds. I believe it is important that young students start taking responsibility for jobs that are age-appropriate, and using the photo boxes that I received from this project, they are able to keep track of their activity cards which are specific for the skill that they need to learn individually. The plastic pouches have helped me organize manipulatives and materials so that they can easily find the tools that they need for STEM design challenges, and building creations. And the plastic envelope pouches are amazing for reusing resources without having to use laminating paper or reprint activities every year.\r\n\r\nI think most teachers can agree that organization just feel so good once it's done, and the items you gifted me have helped me achieve that sense of organization and fluid and productive learning in my classroom. Your contribution has made a significant difference in our literacy intervention classroom, transforming both our learning environment and our daily routines.\r\n\r\nFile Boxes, Folders, and Binders:\r\nWith these organizational tools, our UFLI lessons and student materials are now easy to access. I can quickly find exactly what each student needs, which means we spend more time reading and less time searching for materials. Students feel a sense of ownership as they see their progress neatly organized, and our lessons flow more smoothly than ever.\r\n\r\nMesh Pouches:\r\nThese have become essential for keeping our phonics games, letter tiles, and word-building activities together. Students love grabbing their pouches and diving into hands-on practice. This simple organization makes transitions quick and keeps materials from getting lost, ensuring every student always has what they need.\r\n\r\nWhisper Phones:\r\nThe whisper phones have been a game-changer for building reading fluency and confidence. Even my shyest readers are eager to use them, quietly practicing words and sentences. They can hear themselves read, self-correct, and celebrate their growth—boosting their independence and motivation.\r\n\r\nSand Timer:\r\nThe sand timer adds excitement to fluency practice, making it a fun challenge rather than a chore. Students are motivated to beat the timer, and this playful element has increased their engagement and reading stamina.\r\n\r\nCrayola Twistables:\r\nThese colorful tools have become a classroom favorite. Students use them to highlight known words, circle tricky sounds, and mark their achievements. The bright colors make their learning visible and fun, turning even routine practice into a celebration of their progress.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our classroom is more organized, welcoming, and inspiring. Students now choose the spot that helps them focus best—whether it's standing, sitting on a cushion, or working at a lap table. This autonomy keeps them more engaged and comfortable, resulting in improved attention and participation during lessons.\r\nGel Pens & Colored Pencils\r\nThe colorful pens and pencils have made writing and organizing ideas more engaging for my students. They love expressing themselves with color, and visual organization has helped them plan their stories and responses more clearly. This simple addition has sparked creativity and made writing activities something students look forward to.\r\nRolling File Cart\r\nHaving all our materials and student data organized in one place has streamlined my instruction. I can quickly access progress data, tailor lessons to each student's needs, and celebrate growth. This organization allows me to spend more time teaching and connecting with students, rather than searching for materials.\r\nColored Pencil Sharpener\r\nA reliable sharpener may sound small, but it has made a big difference! Students can now participate in drawing and writing activities without interruption and always have sharp colored pencils ready. This keeps our creative momentum going and minimizes downtime.\r\nSensory Fidgets\r\nFidgets have provided a calming outlet for students who need sensory support. This has made it easier for them to focus, participate, and feel comfortable during group work. For some students, having a fidget has been the difference between distraction and engagement.\r\nHand Sanitizer\r\nKeeping sanitizer available has helped us maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment. Students are more mindful of hygiene, which is especially important in our small group setting.\r\nYour generosity has empowered my students to take ownership of their learning, express themselves creatively, and feel valued every day.
