My Project

This is only my second year teaching first grade! I am so excited for the opportunity to continue working with young learners. With this grant, I will be able to purchase engaging and fun interesting learning materials and extra-curricular activities that are first-grade appropriate, classroom incentives, supplies, and most importantly inspiring literature.

I have a list of first grade "must-have" whole group reading books that complement early childhood instruction in social, emotional, and well-being.

I believe the teaching moments that naturally occur while reading these types of books aloud are priceless opportunities in helping children understand themselves and others which encourages empathy, compassion, and kindness towards themselves and others.
