My Students

Ever wish you could write a book and have it published?

My students are first graders who live in a high need community located in Oklahoma.

At our school 75% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. They are curious about learning and love to read and write. The Writing Center is always a popular place.

My Project

By adding a new table we will be able to accommodate more students in our Writing Center. The Stamp, Draw and Write Story Center will allow the students to create their own picture then explain their picture on the writing lines below. With the new binder machine my students will be able to go through the whole writing and publishing process.

How exciting it will be to publish their own book which can be taken home and shared with parents!

We will also be able to add their published books to our classroom library for classmates to read. What a wonderful way to get kids reading and writing!
