My Students

My students are eager and energetic first graders. We pride ourselves in showing great character in and out of our classroom. We are Jr. Panthers! Our 'Just Be Jersey' theme is seen in our district and within the community loud and proud! We have students from smaller outlying towns that come to our building for Pre-K through 1st grade. My first graders are excited about new learning opportunities for the new year! We are going to be creating STEM based projects in our classroom. We will collaborate with other first grade rooms in our building, and with a first grade classroom in another school district through Google chat and Skype.

My Project

Our class is eager to learn more about technology and the world around us in 3D. The concepts students learn in math, science, and the arts can be challenging from just reading or viewing in a book or magazine. We are working towards making these daily learning experiences active, hands-on, visual and tact-tile for first grade brains and bodies. Students are going to pair with one another when using the pens. In working in this setting, we will be collaborating together and creating opportunities to try to new challenges together. I believe the 3Doodler pen is proven to be a great fit for these little hands with big ideas!
