Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We're ending the school year soon, but getting ready for a new beginning. It's never to soon to start preparing for a new start.
New School Year + Students Eager to Learn + Basic Supplies = Great Scholars!
We are a Title I, inner-city public school in California.
Our school is in a high poverty neighborhood where most parents speak little or no English. My class consists of Latino and Asian students. They are all English language learners who hold a high potential for academic success.
About two-thirds of my students participate in our after-school programs until 6 PM five days a week. My students enjoy coming to school and being part of a great learning community. My students have a creative imagination, and they dream of going on magic carpet rides where they can be and do the impossible.
My Project
Anxiously waiting to start my summer adventure with my family, but I'm also thinking about our next school year! Before we know it summer will come and go and My students need 25 privacy partitions, 20 writing process folders, 25 sets of crayons, a magnetic management center and a variety of colors of construction paper to start off the new school year. I will meet my little first graders and go on an amazing journey down first grade learning lane. I always look forward to a new start, but I dread not having the necessary supplies to begin the school year. These resources will not only come in handy all year long, but help us get a jump start on working independently during center time with the use privacy partitions, writing process folders, crayons, a magnetic management center and, construction paper.
Won't you please help us get off to a good start.
