My Students

There are many reasons why my students are special, but the most important reason is that they are eager to beat the odds of their communities.

My current students are big dreamers.

Regardless of the things that are happening around them, they are excited to continue their education. Our school is nestled in the central part of our city. My students are considered at high risk to join gangs, use drugs, and get involved with violence, but they are working hard to avoid being a part of negative statistics.

We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of the students receive free lunch. Every day, we work together to create opportunities that will help build strong and productive futures for every student.

My Project

Many students do not have the means to pay for college, much less the supplies needed to fill their dorm living space. These dorm baskets will help them to feel supported in their decision to attend college.

Please help our students by providing basic bedding, bath, and toiletries that will help them enter into a successful freshmen year of college.

The baskets will be given to deserving high school seniors who have been accepted and committed to attending college in the fall. Our school will hold a College Announcement Day event in May 2022. During this program we hope to give away baskets full of supplies to our college bound students. Each of the items you see on the shopping list, including bed sets, bathroom toiletries and laundry essentials, will go directly to students as components of the giveaways. Every student who has been accepted into college will be in the random drawing for the baskets full of college "goodies". Thank you for your support of our college bound seniors!
