This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This is our very first Autism Acceptance Month Parent Night Art Gallery. Students create pictures, paintings, and crafts all year, but never have we provided an opportunity for them to display their work. We want to create an Art Gallery on April 25, 2024, of student works such as paper-based art, digital art, comic art, sculptures, and illustrations to be celebrated by their parents.

Our students with Autism don't usually take the opportunity to present the creations that we make in our Academic Resource Class.

But this night will allow students to create for a purpose and showcase their talents. We are asking for art easels (floor and tabletop), lights, tablecloths for display, and picture frames to make the Gallery come to life.

Please help us create the Art Gallery for Autism Acceptance Month. It will highlight creations for students who would not normally take a risk to show their talents. This display will be on a smaller scale when their parents come for our parent night. It will also provide a space for students who would not typically share their work.
