My students need Kindle Fire devices to have access to technology on a daily basis. Currently my students share one outdated iPad. We would like to use technology when working on our individual skills.

My Students
I work in an elementary building that serves grades 3-5. We have 6-7 sections of each grade. I am one of four special education teachers that serves students with special needs. My case load varies year to year, this year being 20 students.
I work with special education students in grades 3-5.
My students have a variety of disabilities including Specific Learning Disability, Other Health Disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. All students have an Individual Education Program outlining their specific goals. Each student is unique in how they learn and grow. I love them all and want to give them what they need on a daily basis.
My Project
My students have a wide variety of learning levels, educational and behavioral needs, and learning styles. Students' academic goals include reading, math and writing, in addition to behavior goals. I would love to have the technology available to individualize extra practice for each student. Apps can be downloaded that give my students specific practice on the skills they need to work on. For those students reading below grade level, they can listen and follow along with assigned texts. I will also use technology as a tool to teach students different strategies and to research information for assignments.
The Kindle Fire's will enable me to individualize learning opportunities for my students.
Kids are motivated by technology. I would like to provide them with motivating ways to practice the skills needed to meet their goals.
