The halls are filled with excitement as students make their way to the next class. Students in the neighborhood come from working class families; many are first generation North Americans. From Algeria to the Philippines to Yemen, our students are brave participants in the local school community. They speak multiple languages and hold multiple experiences, yet they all work together to build a brighter future.
Coming from many different walks of life, levels of academic proficiency, and language backgrounds, students find the library to be a place of comfort, a gentle push to read and explore more topics.
Our students love to read and deserve quality books to encourage their quest toward literacy!
My Project
Our students will be thrilled to find flexible seating in their library, a place for learning, interacting, creating, and enjoying a good book! Current chairs in the library are over 13 years-old, with missing pieces and cracked surfaces.
These ergonomic stools will keep students comfortable, safe, and engaged in their learning.
Students learn best with seating that supports them in the process. By adding flexible seating to our library, we will provide students with an environment that is conducive to a student's needs. Students already love the library, but this will be the cherry on top! Students will flock to the library ready to read, create, and interact in their new seats. Good bye traditional seating, hello flexibility!
