My Students
We are a fifth-grade class. My students have a passion for learning despite the challenges they face at home! They love to engage with technology, especially since most of them do not have access to it at home. Every time technology is used in the classroom, learning really becomes alive, and my students are very engaged! They are always willing to try their best and work hard. The majority of my students qualify for our free lunch program and many come from families that experience economic hardship.
My Project
Please help me give my students tablets to use for digital learning learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fire tablets requested will make a tremendous difference for my students.
My students have reading difficulties resulting in a massive gap in their overall literacy. Research has shown that technology help children improve reading skills. In addition, I need to bridge the gaps before it is too late. My students will utilize these tablets in the classroom to log on to reading programs to enhance their reading capacity, which will improve their testing scores. In addition, they will learn to research for class science projects, among many more things. The Echo Dots will be used to play classical music for my students. The air purifiers will keep us safe from Covid.
