My Students

I am a general education teacher in a K-8 school in Brooklyn, NY. I teach a wonderful group of motivated students. I am a teacher in a high-poverty school district, where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. It is my job to find different ways to help my students work through and overcome these challenges.

Despite the many challenges they face, my students are excited to learn each and every day.

I want to continue to foster that motivation by providing new and exciting learning experiences for them. I also want to make sure their learning environment is the very best it can be.

My Project

Technology is extremely exciting to a Kindergarten student. It is also extremely useful to a Kindergarten teacher. These Fire tablets would allow my students to experience learning using animated guided games. They will be able to work on letter and number activities, as well as read stories on their level. They love the immediate feedback such as a quick song or cheer when they get the correct answer. They will be able to practice writing using their finger tips. They will gain confidence from the success of completing learning activities using tablets. They would be a wonderful asset to my classroom.
