The items we are asking for will help my students and me finish the 2023-2024 year with a bang and help kick-start our learning next year! We ask these materials to have hands-on, engaging lessons as we revisit skills before showing mastery in our end-of-year assessments. Art supplies like kwik sticks and paint will help us create art to celebrate the end of the year, and all of our hard work and recordable buttons will help guide students to work independently without disrupting learning. We are asking for some of these items to help prepare materials for incoming students for the 24-25 school year.
Not having all of the exciting new materials that their peers do can negatively impact a student's confidence and self-worth.
With these materials, I can ensure that each student can start the year with everything they need to succeed at the beginning of their kindergarten education! Having pencils to help students build writing skills, pouches for new take-home folders, and alphabet beads to build fine motor skills and apply phonic learning in many ways will all impact our learning next year and many years to come!
