Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When my students step into my classroom, I want to be able to provide them with any item they need to be successful. This is more important this year than it ever has been. Due to the impacts of COVID, students need to be reminded that their school community cares, and will provide them with any tools necessary to be successful.

As a math teacher that sometimes means math manipulative and tools, but also basics like pencils and whiteboard markers are essential in our learning everyday.

By this time of year, unfortunately most of our initial supplies and snacks have diminished. When that happens it signals to my students that the school year is ending and learning is over for the year. However, if I can provide students with the materials they need to complete the school year they will realize how important to me that it is to continue learning until the end of our year together, and that I care about their continued success.

If this project is funded it will remind students that our school year isn't over yet, and they can have anything they need in order to finish the school year strong.
