My Students

My classroom consists of 40 students that are curious and energetic. They are full of questions and eager to learn. Every day, they enter the room ready to start the day and learn new ideas and facts. The students in my room qualified for my program through a screening that assesses their motor, language, and cognitive abilities.

The students have such an excitement for learning.

I would like to give them as many hands-on experiences as possible. Through these experiences, they can learn and explore at their own level.

My Project

My students love to play with playdough. Playdough is very calming and therapeutic and a great way to strengthen muscles in their hands as well as allow an outlet for students to express their emotions. Using playdough is also a great way to explore creativity and develop hand-eye coordination.

Through the use of playdough (Theraputty, Classroom Clay and Dough Designer kit and Alphabet and Number Dough Stampers), the students can strengthen their fine motor skills; provide a calm and relaxing outlet and also build their literacy and math skills.

The benefits of playing with playdough are numerous. I would love for my students to experience these benefits by having the necessary tools to be successful.
