My Project

I serve exceptional needs students ages 3-5, who are considered at risk due to their cognitive, physical, and speech delays, as well as their low socioeconomic status. The central focus of this project is building fine motor skills. Items in this project will help students to build their dexterity as well as build cognitive skills by following directions and color matching.

I have asked for magnetic puzzles, stacking puzzles, and lacing beads that will build students' hand strength and coordination, as well as build their cognitive skills by introducing them to colors and numbers.

Whiteboards will allow students to practice letter writing and drawing without being confined to the writing table.

Many of the items in this project will serve a dual purpose because while students are working to build fine motor skills, they will also be working on the mastery of their IEP goals.
