Because of your generosity, each of our students received a special set of materials to kick off their summer learning in the most joyful way. Sand buckets, sunglasses, bubble wands, painting activity books, sidewalk chalk, and the book Summer Vacation, Here I Come! were all part of their take-home kits. These items not only sparked excitement, but also provided meaningful opportunities to keep literacy and creativity alive during the summer months.\r\n\r\nThe temporary tattoos and \"Pre-K Grad\" bracelets added an extra layer of celebration for our rising kindergarteners, helping them feel proud of their accomplishments and ready for the next big step in their education journey. For many of our students, these summer kits were the first time they received brand-new books and materials of their very own. Your support helped us send them off with smiles, confidence, and a love for reading that will continue to grow.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your kindness and belief in the importance of early literacy. With the pocket charts you provided, my students were able to participate in activities during large group by placing materials in the pocket charts! It provided a space for me to use visuals for students who need more assistance throughout the day and made space for me to display pictures of the units we were working on. My students loved to look at the visuals displayed in the pocket charts on our whiteboard. We used the rainbow pocket chart for our visual schedule which is right next to the door to enter/leave the classroom. They love to show us where they are at in their day and what comes next by moving the arrows to each pocket. \r\n\r\nI wish you all could have seen their faces when I pulled out a brand new box of playdoh! It is one of the most loved activities in my classroom and it showed as our last set of playdoh was very dried out or the colors got mixed together. I loved seeing them squish the playdoh and flatten it out with the tools we have like the hammer and cookie cutters. They loved making hearts for Valentine's Day and chicks for oviparous animals! Thank you again for your kind donations and brightening my students days. Through the sensory bin, they are learning to explore their sense of touch as well as building cognitive and math skills by measuring, filling, and dumping containers. \r\n\r\nI've included pictures of our Fall-themed sensory bin, as well as our Winter-themed sensory bin.
