My students need Morning Tubs to offer play-based opportunities for students to explore, create, and communicate. A non-threatening way to start the day, help reduce the length of your morning routine and get students to learn.
I teach first grade at Marley Park Elementary in Surprise AZ! In this digital world I want to remember kids are still little and learn through play! They still need fine motor skills to develop properly and constructive play to socialize.My students are eager to do hands on projects and workstations as well as technology and paper based learning! I love to watch the wonder on their faces as they complete a project or discover how to solve a problem on their own or with little guidance!
My Project
Fine motor skills are essential for performing everyday skills like self-care tasks and academic skills. Without the ability to complete these everyday tasks, a child’s self-esteem can suffer and their academic performance is compromised. In this digital world I have found that we are not providing children with the time to develop fine motor skills properly. By using the tubs with tweezers to sort, fasteners and tieing practice, connection links, ect. Students will improve academic and self-care tasks with ease. Legos provide a fun and creative way to create letters or shapes will help students use fine motor skills and also reinforce letter recognition.
