The addition of these hands-on centers in both ELA and Math has been so exciting for the students.\r\n\r\nThe nuts and bolts counting, people/car counters, ladybug puzzles, and ice cream scoop counting has really transformed our second unit in math. The students are really exploring numbers 0-10 in hands-on ways.\r\n\r\nLikewise the ABC rockets, ABC ice cream letter matching, and Alphabet Robots are really great fine motor practice with hands-on engagement for learning letters and sounds. The kids feel like they are playing and while it is that, it is also learning letters and sounds that will make them great readers and writers in the weeks and months to come.\r\n\r\nMy students were SO EXCITED when the big box arrived and helped me open the materials and put them into Reading and Math center tubs. We went through each activity and the kids were making comments like, \"that's the best one\" or \"I want to go to that one first\" - their enthusiasm for center time has been AMAZING to behold. It has been an amazing game changer, affecting how my students learn and behave in class.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest things I've noticed is how much more engaged my students are. Giving them choices like wobble stools or flexible bands on their chairs or even the floor desks, lets them pick something that works for them. They've become more invested in learning now that they have more control over their environment. They're more focused, jump into discussions more, and aren't as intimidated by tough materials.\r\n\r\nIt's also created a much stronger classroom community. Those rows of desks can be so isolating but now my students are working together and collaborating much easier.\r\n\r\nThe donation of flexible seating that was made possible by all of you was one of the best things that has happened to my classroom. I'm so incredibly grateful for your support in making my classroom a more effective and engaging place to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1735506983753,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-and-sensory-options/8808375/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating and Sensory Options!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. De La Garza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9770050_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y254&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727028940919","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9770050"},{"teacherId":5534442,"projectId":8959486,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding my project.
